Verification of Online/Distance Student Authorship

This policy is to intended to provide Community Training Australia with identity and authoriship assurance for Online or Distance students. Students studying via Online/Distance methods must provide an legitimate photo identification document at the time of enrolment to establish their identity. As part of course requirements, students may be required to undertake a practical assessment with a CTA trainer/assessor/educator via a face-to-face session organized via video conferencing, or submit a video recording of themselves to their designated trainer/assessor/educator demonstrating the required performance criteria or skills. A sufficient match must be observed between the student on screen (face-to-face video conference or video recording) and the photo ID submitted to provide assurance across both identity and authorship.
